Pudsey Bear is currently doing a circumnavigation of the UK by yacht raising funds for BBC Children in Need!

On Tuesday 28 July, he visited Grimsby’s Fishing Heritage Centre as part of his Big Bear Voyage of 35 coastal towns and cities around the UK, travelling more than 2200 nautical miles!

At the Fishing Heritage Centre, Pudsey took the opportunity to walk around the centre, checking out the fish and chip shop, playing the piano at the Freemans Arms, and even phone home. He also met our great trawler guide, Ron Telford, outside the Ross Tiger.

The yacht, Big Bear, skippered by Jonathan Brewin and his wife, Jackie, set off from Hamble on the South Coast on 14 May this year.

Since then, they’ve been travelling clockwise around the UK, visiting Cornwall and the Scilly Isles, Wales, Northern Ireland, travelling around the top of mainland Scotland before making their way back down the East coast.

So far, more than £50,000 has been raised through the voyage for BBC Children in Need. If you want to donate, you can find the details on Just Giving: www.justgiving.com/page/jonathan-brewin-1. You can also follow the adventure on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Bigbearvoyage.
