Residents who are passionate about the future of Immingham, Habrough and Stallingborough are being invited to play a key role in selecting a new Pride in Place Coordinator.
Hosted by Oasis Community Partnerships, the full-time Pride in Place Programme Coordinator role will play a central part in delivering a significant Government-funded initiative, which will see £20-million invested over the next 10 years, and is designed to empower residents, businesses and local organisations to drive positive change across the two communities.
As part of the recruitment process, community voices will be at the heart of the interview panel, helping to identify the person best placed to support local people, strengthen relationships and turn community priorities into meaningful action.
The successful candidate will play an important role in bringing people together, listening to residents and ensuring that the ideas and aspirations already shared by the community help shape future plans and projects across the area.
No previous recruitment or interviewing experience is required. Instead, organisers are looking for people who care deeply about their community and want to help influence its future.
Michelle Donner, who is a member of Immingham and Habrough Neighbourhood Board, said: “We are looking for community representatives who are passionate about Immingham, Habrough and/or Stallingborough, believe that local people should have a strong voice in decisions about their area, and are committed to helping identify someone who will build trust, develop relationships and work alongside residents.
“As part of the interview process, community representatives will help assess whether candidates demonstrate a genuine passion for the area and understand that place is about more than buildings and investment. It is also about people, relationships, identity, pride and belonging.
“A key part of the role will be ensuring that community feedback does not simply sit in a report, but is used to influence action and support positive change. Representatives will help identify someone who can bring people together, create connections and develop a shared sense of direction for the future.
