General

Are you passionate about supporting new parents? The North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC) Infant Feeding Team is looking for friendly, caring volunteers to help new mums find their confidence with feeding.  We understand how overwhelming and confusing it may be for new mums, so let’s support them the best we can!

Who are we looking for

We are looking for empathetic  mums who love helping others, have breastfed their own baby before and are willing to volunteer some time to support other mums in our drop-in groups in family hubs.

What we offer

  • Training in line with UNICEF baby-friendly accreditation
  • Additional breastfeeding peer support training

Why become a volunteer with us?

  • We provide excellent training and all knowledge & skills you need
  • You can volunteer as much or as little time you can spare
  • You can make real difference! By helping local families give their babies the best possible start in life.
  • You can join a winning team and be part of a service celebrated for its UNCIEF Gold Award standard of care
