Young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), along with their parents and carers, can now access advice and guidance on Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) at regular drop-in sessions at the Careers Café.
The Secondary and Post-16 Special Educational Needs Assessment and Review Team (SENART) will be available at the Careers Café every fortnight on Thursday mornings during term time.
Visitors can drop in between 9am and 12pm to receive information, advice and guidance on Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), learning and employment opportunities, transport, independent living and other aspects of preparing for adulthood.
The Careers Café is located in Freshney Place, opposite Next.

- Thursday October 8
- Thursday October 22
Councillor Samuel Grice, Deputy Leader of North East Lincolnshire Council and Portfolio Holder for Education and Skills, said: “We want every young person with SEND to have access to the information, advice and support they need as they prepare for adulthood.
“Preparing for adulthood is an exciting time, but it can also bring questions about education, training, employment, independent living and future opportunities.
“These drop-in sessions provide an accessible opportunity for young people and their families to speak directly with the team, ask questions and explore the options available to help them achieve their goals and aspirations for the future.”
