Apply to the pastures roll of the Enrolled Freemen of Grimsby
To be eligible for membership you must be entitled in one of the following ways. You must be at least 18 years old, and:
- the child of a Freeman
- married to a Freeman
- married to the child of a Freeman
- the widow of a Freeman
- a previously admitted Freeman
- an apprentice of a Freeman

Yes, even your husband is on the roll you will still be eligible to be on the roll in your own right and your husband will remain a Freeman.
Although I am the son or daughter of a Freeman I was not born in Grimsby am I eligible?
Yes probably, provided you live in Grimsby – complete the Enrolled Freeman of Grimsby Application so we can check.
My father was admitted a Freeman after my birth am I eligible?
Yes probably, provided you live in Grimsby. Complete the Enrolled Freeman of Grimsby Application so we can check.
I am the grand-daughter of a Freeman, but my father was not a Freeman, am I eligible?
Not at the moment. Depending on circumstances then if your mother or father live in Grimsby then one of both may be eligible to apply, then once they become a Freeman at a later date, provided you live in Grimsby, you may be eligible.
Do I have to be married to apply, whether a son or daughter?
No, you must live in Grimsby and be the son or daughter of a Freeman so suggest you complete the Enrolled Freeman of Grimsby Application and we can check.
How quickly should I complete the form?
If you wish to be considered for inclusion on the Pastures Roll for the current year, then we must receive a completed form by 15 August, but it would be advisable to return the form as soon as possible.
How old do I have to be to become a Freeman?
You must be at least 18 years old.
