A temporary lane closure has been put in place this afternoon on the A180 Alexandra Dock Bridge eastbound between the Westgate and Lockhill roundabouts.
Engineers have discovered one of the bridge joints has failed.
Specialist contractor Route One will be attending overnight (Friday 14 August) to undertake the required repairs to the bridge joint.
The temporary lane closure will remain in place until works are due to be completed, expected to be by the morning of Saturday 15 August.
