Frederick Ward Way overnight resurfacing this week

POOR weather has led to a delay to the completion of resurfacing works along Frederick Ward Way, Grimsby.

The resurfacing was due to finish on the night of Friday, December 4, after five nights. However, heavy rainfall forced its abandonment late last week.

As a result, it will need to be closed for up to three nights from tonight, Monday December 7 to the early morning of Thursday, December 10, from 8.30pm until 5.30am. This will affect traffic between the Peaks Parkway and Alexandra Road junctions with diversion signs directing motorists around the closure. It is hoped, weather depending, the work can be finished well within that timescale.

As reported the highway is being resurfaced following the completion of improvements in the Victoria Street South area as part of wholescale redevelopment in and around Garth Lane.
