B1444 Little Coates/Cambridge Road resurfacing works

5:06 pm, Thursday, 11th February 2021 - 3 years ago

General

The new improved roundabout constructed at the B1444 Little Coates/Cambridge Road junction was completed and opened in December last year. The main project was finished ahead of Christmas but some final finishing works are due to be completed by the end of March.

This includes resurfacing works around the new B1444 Little Coates/Cambridge Road roundabout and also on Little Coates Road between the new junction and the roundabout with the A1136 where The Trawl pub is located. This resurfacing is part of the council’s annual maintenance programme but it is more efficient and effective to do this all at the same time as well as completing the junction works.

In advance of the resurfacing, the island on Little Coates Road, close to the Capes Recreation Ground parking area, will see some changes made to reduce its size. New kerbs will also be installed on this stretch of carriageway ahead of resurfacing.

To enable these works to safely take place, there will be two-way temporary traffic lights in place from Monday 15 February for three weeks.

Following this, the resurfacing will take place in mid-March to complete all of the works in and around the new junction. This is expected to take two weeks to complete and more details regarding traffic management will be released nearer the time.

North East Lincolnshire Council and ENGIE would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused by these works.
