New trails have been launched around the towns as part of the Council’s drive to get families out and about this half term on the lead up to Halloween.

The Love Exploring app, launched earlier this year in North East Lincolnshire, has a new game, specially created for Halloween and the half term that features augmented reality dancing life-sized skeletons, Dracula, Frankenstein, witches, a werewolf and zombies!

Use the map to find the Halloween characters and then answer their questions about Halloween from around the world. You won’t need to be a super boffin to play though, there is a hint to help you get the answer right!

The Halloween trail is available from Monday 18 October to Sunday 31 October in Grimsby town centre, Cleethorpes town centre and Cleethorpes country park. Other trails in our parks and open spaces are also still available on the app – including the dinosaur trail and the space walk.

All that’s needed is a smartphone that can download the Love Exploring app. Visit your favourite app store (Google Play store or Apple store) and search for “Love Exploring”.

The app is free to download to Apple and Android phones, but a word of warning – the system uses Augmented Reality and so unfortunately it won’t work on all mobile phones. Check out your App Store for details by searching for the Love Exploring app on Google’s Play store or the Apple App Store and then check out the compatibility guide.
