Residents are being urged to make sure their bus pass is up to date ahead of the festive period.

The two Age UK sites at Grimsby and Cleethorpes will be closed between 2.30pm on Christmas Eve and 3 January 2022, but people can still apply online over the festive break.

“It would be a case of Good King Senseless to turn up at the Age UK offices expecting a bus pass between Christmas and New Year,” says Helen Goodman of Age UK.

“You don’t have to travel afar like the three kings for your free bus passes – there’s an online portal where it’s fast, free and simple to apply.”

Anyone needing to renew a bus pass that runs out on or before 3 January 2022 can get a new pass from 1 December onwards.

Immingham Civic Centre will be closed from Friday 24 December and will re-open on Wednesday 5 January. Staff will be taking calls on 29, 30 and 31 January on (01469) 727272.
