ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2)

FLETCHER ROAD, GRIMSBY

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-092E)

EMERGENCY NOTICE 2022

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle or other vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

  • FLETCHER ROAD, GRIMSBY – from its junction with CURRY ROAD to its junction with YARROW ROAD.

Alternative route: CURRY ROAD, YARROW ROAD

This emergency prohibition is required in order to safeguard members of the public whilst works are undertaken by Anglian Water to repair a burst water main.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Tuesday, 26 July 2022 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport.  The closure is expected to remain in place until Monday, 01 August 2022.
