We constantly work on the information provided, the way in which you can search for information and we welcome all feedback about the directory from you! If you feel there is something you would like to see on here, know about an activity or service that would benefit from being featured or find any incorrect information please let us know [email protected].
If you’re looking for childcare, you can use the directory to search for childcare. If you would like to discuss this with an FFIS worker please contact 01472 326292 and press option 1 or email us at [email protected].
Cubs - 4th Cleethorpes Scouts Group
Bulletin Board
The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing', when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.
Cubs is the second section of the Scouting movement, originally started in 1916 for younger brothers who wanted a 'look-in'. In nearly a century, the section has constantly evolved and adapted its programme and methods to meet the changing needs of each generation of young people, and these days admits girls as well as boys.

Air and Sea Scouting are different ways of delivering the programme, and are not separate organisations. They are based on the same fundamental Scouting Aims & Methods. Sea and Air Scouts follow the core balanced programme for their section but usually add a nautical or aeronautical twist to the programme and activities.

THE ACADEMY Grimsby Boxing Academy was established in 2008 at Scartho Village Community Centre, known formally as Scartho Amateur Boxing Club. After spending a year in Scartho the club soon outgrew this venue and moved to the bigger and better facility on Church Street in Grimsby. On 27th October 2018, under the guidance of Andy Cox, the Academy moved to it's current home at the Trin Centre, Cleethorpes, and became Cleethorpes Trinity Boxing Academy. The Academy is one of the biggest amateur boxing clubs in the region and can boast some of the best facilities in the country. Our coaching team is also the most highly qualified in our region and these coaches are passionate about what they do and strive for success in every area.
Despite first and foremost being a boxing club we feel it is important to nurture, develop and mentor youngsters from the age of 6. We also, with the help of our dedicated committee, participate in charity events and help out in our local community whenever we can.
