Humberston Cloverfields Academy - Nursery
We are part of the Foundation stage unit that is the first stage of learning at Humberston Cloverfields Academy. Our custom-built unit was opened in November 2020, comprising of children in Nursery and Reception. Our team are experienced teachers and Early Years Practitioners. We offer children a safe caring environment, where they are able to progress socially and emotionally, and we nurture a life-long love of learning.
Our Aim and Objectives
We are an inclusive school and we welcome each child and their family, providing a caring, friendly, safe and stimulating environment. We work to build positive relationships between ourselves, the children and parents and carers to establish a sense of belonging. This supports trust and mutual respect, and enables children to become confident; engaging in ‘school life’ with their peers and practitioners and becoming independent, resilient and positive learners. We are a friendly setting and aim to work closely with families to identify your child’s learning needs, support any potential difficulties and to involve you in your child’s learning and development. Practitioners recognise that each child is unique and will develop and learn at their own rate and in their own way, therefore this is taken into account when planning and providing experiences and activities.
Throughout the Early Years unit, a fun, enjoyable curriculum is delivered by way of learning through play and offering opportunities to engage in varieties of experiences and activities with a combination of adult directed and child initiated activities. Equal opportunity enables all children to partake and enables them to become confident and independent in their thinking and learning. The Early Years Foundation Stage, Development Matters for children from birth to five years provides the framework in which planning encompasses the seven areas of learning.
Learning and Development
At nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which continues through, to the end of your child’s reception year. The EYFS consists of three elements.
The early learning goals
There are seven areas of learning and development and these are crucial for igniting children’s curiosity, enthusiasm and building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive.
The prime areas
The three prime areas are personal, social and emotional development, communication, and language and physical development.
The specific areas
Children are supported in the four specific areas, through which the prime areas are strengthened and applied. The specific areas are; literacy, mathematics, understanding the world and expressive arts and design.
At nursery we listen, observe, note and have professional discussions etc to plan for each child’s next steps, enabling all children to develop and achieve at their own rate. Moments of learning are shared with parents via tapestry and class dojo.
Sessions, times and fees
Every child is entitled to the 15 hours per week Free Early Education funding provided by the government from the term after their third birthday. Some families may be eligible for 30 hours Free Early Education funding which equates to a full week at nursery. Information for you to ascertain your eligibility online is available within this welcome pack. It is strongly advised that parents should undertake this eligibility check as soon as possible to access funding within specific dates and inform us at Nursery immediately. If your child is only entitled to the 15 hours, you may pay for additional sessions.
We are open Monday – Friday, term time only.
Morning session – 9:00-12:00 (Children can arrive from 8:50).
Afternoon session – 12:30-3:30 (Doors open from 3:20).
As soon as your child begins nursery a ParentPay account will be set up by the school office for you to pay for additional sessions or trips. Any missed sessions still require payment and we politely ask that to secure sessions you pay at the beginning of each term.
At nursery, we also accept child care vouchers.
If required, ‘Cloverfields Club’ is available on the school site providing breakfast club before school (7:45-9:00) after-school club (3:30-5:00 except Wednesday and Thursday where we have extended hours until 5:30pm). The 15/30 hours funding children receive cannot be used for club fees.
Lunches
If your child attends for a full day, they are currently required to bring a packed lunch with lunch being 11:50-12:30. From September 2021, Nursery children will be able to enjoy a school lunch. There is a varied menu and parents select their menu options a week in advance and pay £2.30 for each meal.
Packed lunch advice
Please could you provide a lunch box/bag and bottle of water with your child’s name clearly marked on the outside. Any food that is not eaten after gentle encouragement will be sent home so you know what your chil

St Joseph's Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy
Welcome to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy web site. We do hope that this web site gives you a little insight into our academy; all who visit and attend believe it is a very special place, but don’t just take my word for it come and see for yourself.
We are a small single entry school, where we strive to provide an education, which develops the ‘whole child’ in a caring, Christian ethos. We have a vision that, it is our shared responsibility to ensure all children receive an education which will prepare them well for the next stage of their education and to be good law abiding citizens with a strong belief in what is right and wrong, plus a belief in themselves and their own ability. It is important that we give them the skills to aspire to be the best that they can be.
At the same time our mission statement, ‘ We value all in the name of Jesus the Christ’ permeates through all we do and supports the belief that we are all equal in God’s eyes and therefore in ours!
We celebrate the diversity of all our pupils, staff and governors and want to work together create a strong learning culture where it is safe to fail and support is given when needed.
As you look through our web site you will see how we embrace a wide and varied curriculum which allows children to gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
In September 2015 we were very excited to open our new nursery; it is so wonderful to have these young children joining us in assemblies and other events. Children are admitted throughout the year as they turn three, at the present time you are able to buy some extra sessions, to the 15 hours funded, please contact the office or apply on line for more details.

St Peter's Church Of England Primary Academy
Our Local Education Authority is North East Lincolnshire and we are a Church of England Controlled school within Lincoln Diocese. The Church has a significant influence on the school, through the Foundation Governors and through direct links with St Peter's Church and the Diocese.
We have apporximately 195 pupils on roll, aged 4 through to 11 years. Children are normally admitted into the school in the September before their fifth birthday.
The main point of contact for enquiries is Mrs Jo Wiseman (Head teacher) or Mel Hobson (School Business Manager)
We take pride in the systems we have in place, and the lengths to which we will go as a staff and school to ensure that there is an ethos of inclusion. We ensure that children with a physical disability are able to access the curriculum; we also provide friendship groups consisting of children across the school and small nuture groups for children with specific learning difficulties, but who also find a normal classroom environment too difficult.

Stallingborough Church Of England Primary School
Vision
At Stallingborough Church of England Primary School, we are committed to creating an environment where every pupil can flourish and achieve their full potential. We believe that pupils are entitled to benefit from teaching of the highest quality and we are committed to our mission statement –
Sowing the seeds so that all can flourish.
We aim to sow the seeds of excellence through providing a learning environment that broadens horizons. We honour the dignity of each person and seek to build a diverse community united by common Christian values and aspirations. We look towards a future in which each member of our school community feels empowered to make a difference to our world.
Our vision is firmly rooted in Scripture from the bible based on Jesus’ parable of the mustard seed found in Matthew’s gospel which you can read below.
Jesus’ parable of the mustard seed
‘He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.’
Matthew 13.31-32
This vision of 'sowing the seeds so that all can flourish' shapes all we do and helps us understand who we are as a school, why we are here, and then how we live. From it we draw our school values.
Ethos and Values
We believe that all of our pupils should:
Reach their full potential and be the best that they can be
Learn about our Christian values in work, play and relationships
Experience a good start which can be built on in the future
Enjoy school and develop a love of learning
Develop confidence and self-belief
Develop independence and a sense of responsibility
Our Beliefs
We believe that everyone:
has the right to feel safe, valued and happy in our school
has the right to be heard
has a right to an education that suits them
should have a high quality learning environment
should enjoy coming to and working in our school
should behave in the way God asks us to
Our Values
We encourage everyone to respect fundamental British values by offering pupils a balanced presentation of views and values through our teaching and through the curriculum.
As a church school, we actively promote Christian values which we believe are values for life that anyone can support and develop.
We think these things are important and we promote and celebrate them by focussing on a different one each term.
Respect – Friendship – Courage – Perseverance – Thankfulness - Forgiveness

Great Coates Village Nursery School

Forest School
We believe that Nursery School is the first stage in your child's education and we hope that all our children and their families will find it a happy and positive experience. We aim to provide a happy and caring environment in which the needs of each individual are met.
When the children first start Nursery school, they will join a small group of twenty six children. Each group has two key workers and a teaching assistant who will support the children's learning during their time at Nursery School. All members of staff will always be willing to discuss any queries or problems you may have.
Talking with and listening to the children will feature greatly in our daily routine. We aim to build good relationships and to develop the children's self esteem and self-confidence. When a child feels valued and respected, he or she in turn will value and respect others.
Everyday activities may seem simple, but they enable children to practise what they have already learnt and also to extend their learning.
The introduction in September 2000 of the curriculum guidance for the Foundation Stage for children aged 3-5 indicates the importance the Government is placing on Early Years Education. This was replaced by the Early Years Foundation Stage document in 2008.
The Early Years Foundation Stage encompasses all that we aim to provide at Great Coates Village Nursery School.
Whilst we do not have a statutory school uniform, we do have various items of school wear with our school logo available to purchase through the office.
May we also please remind you to dress your child in sensible footwear and clothing which is easily washed. The children will be learning through doing at this stage of their development. This means that they will experiment with a wide variety of materials including glue, paint, sand, mud and baking ingredients. We do insist that the children wear aprons but accidents can happen!!
We would also ask that ALL clothing is clearly marked with your child's name.

Enfield Academy Of New Waltham
We pride ourselves on a very happy school atmosphere as we take time to get to know our children well. We encourage children to care for each other, respect each other and show a positive, respectful attitude towards staff and the environment.
We aim to provide a secure environment that is attractive, stimulating and challenging and where the children can develop a positive, enquiring attitude towards learning. We rejoice in our children’s achievements and share in their success. In 2013, the children achieved the highest accolade of being the top performers across the whole of North East Lincolnshire as they achieved the number one slot in the league tables.
We have high expectations of behaviour and have a code of conduct we expect the children to follow. The children respond positively to our emphasis on kindness and consideration to others and we consider them to be ambassadors for Enfield Academy, both inside school and in the wider community.
We encourage all our children to reach their full potential whilst working at their own ability level. We believe our school is a place where individual needs are met, personal abilities flourish and where every child feels they are valued.
We have an open-door policy at Enfield whereby families of our pupils are always welcome to come and share their hopes and concerns with us.
We hope that as you read through our ‘Introduction Booklet’ it will help to give you an insight into life at Enfield Academy.
Do remember though that the best way to judge us is to come inside, talk to us and become involved in your child’s education. We sincerely hope that as you and your children become part of our school community you will establish the bond of trust, co-operation and understanding, which is shared amongst all of our parents.

Humberston Cloverfields Academy
Our Aims and Vision
Our school was built in the 60s on a field that was abundant with clover, hence the school name. Our logo incorporates the clover leaf and bees and is the symbol for the hive of productive, exciting learning that is generated in our school.

Motto Busy Being Our Best
•There is a strong culture of community where it is safe to take risks and to care about trying hard- all staff and all pupils. “ To fit in, in this school, working hard and treating people well is expected”
•All members of the school community believe that human capacity is open ended; that effort creates intelligence; a greater effort can compensate for differences in prior attainment. “Smart isn’t something you are. It’s something you get.” (Jeff Howard)

New Waltham Primary Academy
New Waltham Academy
Vision Statement
Our vision is for New Waltham Primary School to be consistently placed in the top 25% of achieving schools in the country according to Government benchmarks for pupils leaving Year 6.
However, this will only be valid if it is achieved whilst staying firm to our core values, including the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths, races, genders, disability and sexual orientations, as expressed in our Mission Statement as stated below.
Mission Statement
At New Waltham Academy education is about children experiencing the joy of learning, solving problems, being creative, developing their self-confidence as learners and maturing socially and emotionally. We will combine high standards with a broad, balanced and enriched curriculum, helping to prepare children for life in modern Britain. This will take place in an environment that, whilst stimulating, will identify health and safety as a paramount consideration.
Literacy and Numeracy will form the foundations of our pupils’ success in learning. We will build on our previous success to best serve the needs of our children using the skills of everyone in the school. We take responsibility for, and will drive, our own improvement, set our own challenging targets and recognise that, like every good organisation, we will strive for ways to improve every aspect of our school.
Learning will be focused on individual pupils’ needs and abilities. We will further develop dialogic learning and assessment for learning, enabling children to take greater responsibility for the assessment of their own learning thereby developing greater ownership and motivation.
We will provide activities both inside and outside school hours to extend and enrich learning beyond statutory requirements.
We will encourage healthy lifestyles by both promoting a healthy diet and providing opportunities and entitlement for physical exercise beyond statutory requirements. By working with outside agencies eg the school nurse and secondary schools we can help to further develop children’s well-being.
Information Technology will be utilised to enhance learning whenever appropriate and to make the school more effective and efficient in its day-to-day management, enabling administrative staff to better monitor information which contributes to school improvement.
Pupils will be given varied opportunities for being responsible and supportive towards their peers and the running of the school as a whole through; the Buddy Scheme, the School Council, the Learning Council and other life-skills by working in the school library.
Admin staff will assist others to more effectively carry out their roles by providing excellent administrative support. We recognise that they are the ‘front line’ in communication with parents and outside organisations and, as such, represent the school’s perceived image on a daily basis.
We will all maintain and further develop our partnership with parents by giving helpful information and seeking improved ways of communicating with them about their children’s progress and the school in general. We recognise that parents of children with special needs are especially keen to be informed about their children’s progress so that they can work with us.
Teachers and classroom assistants will work together to support all learners; always paying attention to those with special educational needs, those who are particularly talented learners and any groups that are vulnerable to under-achievement. We will give extra support to the learners that need it most.
The Caretaker will monitor the school premises and site to ensure that children and staff can thrive in a safe, secure, well-maintained, clean environment.
Lunchtime staff will ensure the safety and well-being of pupils during lunchtime so that the children can return to their classrooms refreshed and ready to continue their studies.
The headteacher will; further develop effective systems for quality assurance and self evaluation so that in school high standards of achievement; positive attitudes to learning and positive behaviour can be further promoted, and; support all staff in the fulfilment of their roles.
All managers will provide staff with; positive feedback regarding their performance; opportunities for further development; support, both professionally and personally, to assist with their general well-being.
In summary, we will all do everything we can to enable every child to gain as much academic achievement and personal development as they possibly can whilst enjoying their time at New Waltham Academy.

Reynolds Primary Academy
It has been another very successful and exciting year at Reynolds Academy. Alongside academic achievement and progress, at the heart of our ethos, is a drive and determination to develop wider skills and talents. As you visit our website, you will see the many enrichment opportunities our pupils have enjoyed. It is so important to celebrate our pupils' success.
Our Academy is slightly larger than the average sized primary school and we cater for children from the age of 3 until they are 11. Children are taught in single age groups and from Year 2 to Year 6 they are taught in sets for English and Maths.
We have a dedicated and highly motivated staff at Reynolds Academy who work extremely hard and have high expectations of our children. Each year group team is composed of at least two Teachers, supported by Teaching Assistants.
The Senior Leadership team consists of the Principal, Andrew Clark; the Assistant Principal, Alison Stephenson, who is also the English co-ordinator; Christine Lacey is the Executive Head, who has an overview of Reynolds Academy and Theddlethorpe Academy. In addition, Steve Lond is the KS2 Mathematics Coordinator and Lacey Jenney is the KS1 Maths co-ordinator.
Of most importance to us is the partnership between home and school. Throughout the year there are a wealth of opportunities for us to liaise and work together through letters, events, assemblies, homework and meetings. The Academy website is an invaluable source of information and contact with us. We are readily available to families to discuss whole school matters or those involving individual children.
Family enquiries or concerns are treated seriously and where the Academy and home are working together we find that matters are always brought to a successful and positive conclusion. As well as working together, community views are sought by letters and questionnaires.
We have an active school council. As well as the life of the school, the school curriculum is developing all the time. School improvement comes from staff and professionals within Tollbar Family of Academies working together within the school community to embrace new educational thinking and initiatives. The staff at the school have an excellent understanding of how children learn and what learning should look like for each individual child. They use methodical assessment to plan carefully for each lesson and group.
Those children who are gifted and talented and those with special educational needs are supported within the Academy and where possible and reasonable, special arrangements are made for them to receive the education that they need in a mainstream setting. We are honest and realistic about our expertise and experience and always have the child's best interests at heart. We will try everything in our power and experience to cater for the needs of individuals.
We like to have fun whilst we are learning. The staff are continually trying out new ideas, making exciting trips, getting in visitors and using the community to enhance the provision in school.
We hope that the website is a useful source of information for parents and pupils. Please add our website to your favourites list and visit us regularly to keep up to date with our events, achievements and activities. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

With this in mind, Old Clee Primary Academy will combine high standards with a broad and rich curriculum that will be presented in an interesting, exciting and imaginative manner. Education will be the fusion of excellence and enjoyment and will provide lots of opportunities for first-hand experience, practical work, investigation and learning through play. The curriculum will be enlivened and enriched by exciting and inspiring entry points and exit points (known as Celebration of Learning Events) that parents will be very much a part of. Visits, visitors, and extensive use of the environment will be used to further enhance learning opportunities. We believe that children learn better when they are inspired, excited and engaged. When there is joy in what they are doing, they learn to love learning.
Inspired to Believe, Learning to Succeed
•Provide innovative, inspirational and challenging opportunities which encourage children to become lifelong learners, and to be the best they can be.
•Develop confidence, independence and a ‘can-do’ attitude within a safe environment so that children are ambitious for themselves and for others.
•Develop caring, considerate, well rounded individuals, who are polite, well behaved, respectful and resilient.

Grange Primary School - Day Nursery
Early Years Foundation Stage
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is how the Government and early years professionals describe the time in your child's life between birth and five years of age. Their early years experiences should be happy, active, exciting, fun and secure. Supporting their care, development and learning needs. Nurseries, Pre-schools, Reception classes and registered child-minders are required to follow a legal document called the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. Your child will be learning skills, acquiring knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through the seven areas of learning and development in EYFS Framework.
Children should generally develop the three Prime Areas first:
- Communication and Language Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
These Prime Areas are the most essential for your child's healthy development and future learning. As children grow, the Prime Areas will help them to develop skills in four Specific Areas:
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
These seven areas are used by staff here at The Grange Nursery to plan your child's learning and activities.
In the EYFS children learn by playing and exploring, being active, and through creative and critical thinking.
S?nack is available to the children each day. We ask for £1 per week contribution.

Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe
Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe is situated on the Nunsthorpe Estate in the western part of Great Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire. Until September 2012, Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe was called Nunsthorpe Community School. The original school was built in 1931 and was a traditionally-built single story building, typical of those constructed during the inter-war years.
The name ‘Nunsthorpe’ takes its name from the nuns who, in the 16th century, lived in the local priory, and from the word ‘thorpe’, the Old Norse name for village. Although the priory was dissolved by Henry VIII in 1539, the name ‘nuns of the village’ (Nunsthorpe) has kept its name right up to this day.
Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe is a large co-educational school, which admits students between the ages of 3 to 11 years.
The Academy has been adapted to accommodate disabled pupils. All major entrances/exits are wheelchair-friendly and there are a number of toilets designated and adapted for disabled student use within the academy building.

Strand Street
F.L.A.G. is a special needs Out of School Club. We have hoisting facilities.
FLAG is a registered charity which has been in existence for more than fifteen years and the aim is to provide recreational activities for children from age four to twenty one plus who have a range of disabilities and special needs. We strive to do our very best to meet the needs of the individual. Our aim is to enrich their lives by providing recreational activities, developing social and independence skills and empowering them to play a rightful place in the community.
Children with disabilities have additional needs and the aim of FLAG is to provide them with a safe and supported environment where they can meet and play with their friends and develop recreational and independence skills. These activities take place at Strand Street School under the care and supervision of qualified and experienced staff. Many of the children attending FLAG have very complex medical, emotional and behavioural needs and the activities are aimed at meeting these needs. These children come from Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham; we accept referrals from the children themselves, parents/carers, the local authority or other outside agencies.
The club is open each Saturday during term time and up to four days a week in the holidays. Parents/carers bring the children to Strand Street School. Where the children are divided into age groups and then a club leader organises the staff and the activities. Out of term time we organise away days. These have included Flamingo Land, York Railway Museum, North York Moors railway Pickering to Whitby. Some children had never been on a train, some of them were twelve or thirteen years of age. The children have also been taken by bus to town and taken around the shops. During the days at the club we have various activities including art, sports, computers, board games and cookery. Some children have their birthday parties at flag as they have never had a party at home because of the difficulties of looking after the needs of other special needs children. Please look at the photographs and the video and I am sure you will see what FLAG means to these children.
We get an annual grant from the local authority but this is not guaranteed and we have to apply for it.
Parents pay a sum for each Saturday but if they cannot afford it we would not refuse the child and they also pay towards the cost of away days. We rely on fund raising, donations and charity and we are very grateful to the various organisations who have supported the work FLAG does. But as with many other organisations money is always tight.

Oasis Academy Nunsthorpe Nursery
Our Nursery provision applies to children from 3 to 4 years. Here at OAN children join our FS nursery the term after their third birthday (places permitting) and then continues until they start their reception year. The children in nursery attend 15 hours per week (funded by government). The students attend an AM (8.30am-11.30am) or a PM (12.15pm-3.15PM) session.
Early childhood is the foundation on which children build the rest of their lives. At OAN we greatly value the important role that the EYFS plays in laying secure foundations for future learning and development. We ensure that all aspects of the child’s holistic development are catered for and we believe it is vital that the first years of a child education are positive; therefore each child will be motivated to learn.
We believe that our children need to take ownership of their own learning in order to develop initiative, enthusiasm, resilience, problem solving skills and independence.
The EYFS looks at the prime and specific areas.
In nursery our main focus are the prime areas of learning to enable our children to be confident communicators to help them complete their EYFS journey in their reception year.

Yarborough Primary Academy After School Clubs
Extra Curricular Activities
We currently run enrichment activities before and after school for children. These include skipping, football, music club, gardening, fencing, badminton, martial arts, change for life, cooking, art, netball, dogdeball and more.
The guitar club has been financed through pupil premium and involved the purchase of guitars for the pupils and free tuition for one hour per week. We are looking to widen this opportunity out to other stringed instruments for the children.
The Change for Life project has been recognized for its positive contribution to the lifestyles of the children participating. It was independently assessed by the Centre for Sport, Physical Education & Activity Research (SPEAR) at Canterbury Christ Church University and we are hoping that it will be used as a ‘best practice'.
