Parents of children with additional needs in North East Lincolnshire will now be able to access improved support over the phone for queries relating to Education, Health and Care Plans, SEND activities and wider support.
The SEND Support Line will give parents the opportunity to speak to officers in the Council’s Children’s Services about progress with their child’s EHCP, any queries they may have about consultations and any other queries.
Ann-Marie Matson, Director for Children’s Services in North East Lincolnshire, said the phone line will join things up for parents.
“Earlier this year, a Parent Portal was created to give parents in North East Lincolnshire access to their child’s EHCP and to make applying for support easier.
“This phone line is the latest move by the Council to make things a little easier for our parents and carers – giving them support over the phone when they need it.”
Accessing the SEND Support Line
To access support over the phone for your child’s EHCP, call 01472 32 62 91 (option 3, then option 1).
Sharing your feedback
North East Lincolnshire Council is keen to continue developing the EHC portal and want to ensure they have gathered parent carer feedback to inform next steps. Please complete this short survey to have your say: https://tell-us.questionpro.eu/EHCP
The Parent Portal
If any parent carers still require access to the EHCP portal they need to contact the dedicated line. They will then receive an email from donotreply@liquidlogic.co.uk. From there, they will need to fill in their new request and submit.
They will then receive a code which they need to email to ehchub@nelincs.gov.uk. This provides the Council with verification which means the account can be activated, and their child’s EHCP can be attached to the record. Emails will be issued to all parents on our system over the next two days.
Should you wish to access the new hub urgently, visit the Council’s SEND Local Offer page (https://sendlocaloffer.nelincs.gov.uk) for more information on the new system, where you can complete a form to register for your account.
All data related to ongoing cases has been transferred to the new system, including documentation that was held on the former Hub. The previous EHC Hub has now been decommissioned and removed from the Council’s website.
