General

One of the final touches to the A18 road safety improvement scheme will be taking place between Tuesday 10 May and Thursday 19 May, subject to weather conditions.

The final element of works – installation of new anti-skid surface and carriageway lining – will be carried out in three phases and incorporate safety works for other areas.

Phase one – Waltham Road / A18 junction.

In phase one, anti-skid surfacing and lining will be carried out between Tuesday 10 May and Friday 13 May, between 6pm and 6am. To ensure a safe working environment, Waltham Road will be closed during this time, preventing access to the A18 from Barnoldby le Beck. Access to the north and south of the A18 at this junction will be under a convoy system.

Phase two – Barnoldby le Beck

Phase two will include anti-skid surfacing and carriageway lining along Waltham Road which will be taking place between Thursday 12 May and Thursday 19 May, from 10am to 3pm, under Stop and Go signs.

Phase three – A18 between the A16 Ludborough bypass and the A18 Livesey Road junction

Phase three works in Lincolnshire County Council’s boundary will be taking place between Tuesday 17 May and Thursday 19 May, from 10am to 3pm, under Stop and Go signs. Anti-skid surfacing and additional lining will be required on the A16 at this junction, which will require traffic signals due to the volume of traffic.

North East Lincolnshire Council and its regeneration partner EQUANS would like to thank you for your patience.
