4:25 pm, Friday, 13th November 2020 - 3 years ago

General

The new road layout and roundabout continues to take shape and progress as part of the B1444 Little Coates/Cambridge Road junction improvement project.

Work is now starting to join the new roundabout to the existing carriageway and to enable this to take place safely, temporary traffic lights will be in place on Little Coates Road between the Capes Recreation ground and Broadway starting on Monday 16 November. These will remain in place until late December.

The pedestrian diversions and temporary toucan crossing on Little Coates Road will also remain in place and access to properties and businesses will be maintained.

When complete, the new roundabout will replace the existing mini roundabout at the junction of Little Coates Road and Cambridge Road, which has long been a pinch-point for traffic delays during busy times of the day.

This phase of works is due to be completed at the end of the year.
