Order a bin

This page provides information on eligibility and pricing related to repairing or ordering a new bin. To take the next steps and contact us, please complete the online form and we will get back in touch:

Bins for new homes

For residents moving into a new home without a bin.

If you are moving into a new build property or a property without any bins you must purchase them for £29.85 each.

If you are moving into a new build home then your bin schedule will not show up until the property has been added to the Local Land and Property Gazetteer.

You will need to make sure your home has been given a postcode, to do this you can remind your builder to register the property. If this has not happened you can give us a call on 01472 326288.

For developers looking to purchase containers for new homes, please contact us on 01472 326288, option 1.

Repair a bin

For residents who have a bin but it is damaged.

Sometimes wheelie bins get damaged, but we can repair issues such as:

  • missing lid
  • split lid
  • missing lid pins
  • repairs to bin wheels

If your bin can’t be fixed or has been stolen, you can order a replacement.

Replace a bin

Charges for residents who already had a bin, but it has been stolen, or the bin is damaged beyond repair.

If your bin has been stolen the cost of a replacement is £29.85 for a standard domestic waste 180L bin or a 240L garden waste bin, or £35.15 for a large capacity bin (domestic waste only).

You should clearly label all of your bins with your property number, and we suggest also labelling all bins with your street name.

Extra or larger bins

You might be able to change your green general waste bin for a larger 360L one.

To get a larger bin, your household must have:

  • six or more permanent residents (please be aware this does not include HMO’s)
  • five residents with one child in nappies
  • three or more children in nappies
  • someone has medical needs (you may also be entitled to a free extra recycling bin if needed for excess medical waste and can provide proof)

All householders can purchase extra 240L recycle bins at the cost of £29.85 each.
