Great Grub Fest is back for the weekend from Friday 24 July to Sunday 26 July on Lower Kingsway. A brilliant line up of local businesses, serving you all your favourite foods! Open up to 8pm on Friday and Saturday, and 6pm on Sunday.
On Saturday morning (9am to 10am), for just £10 you can take part in Beach Pilates, being organised as a fundraiser for Fierce Elite Cheerleading to help them go to the World Championships in Florida next year. No experience necessary. Visit gymcatch.com to book your space.
Next up, at 9.45 – 10.45am, as part of the Pier Gardens regeneration work, there’s a story telling session on at Bluebell Would on Sea View Street. No cost, but booking necessary for the space. Ideal for children aged 5+. This is one of three sessions to help create a poem for the site. Then it’s back down to the beach near the leisure centre for the first ever UK Beach Wrestling Championships. This landmark event, from approx. 11am to 1pm, will introduce athletes and spectators to Beach Wrestling, one of the fastest-growing disciplines governed by United World Wrestling (UWW) – the international federation for the sport of wrestling.
