Bins, waste and recycling

Can you come up with a fun name for one of the Council’s new bin lorries?

North East Lincolnshire Council will soon take delivery of some new vehicles as it updates its recycling fleet.

They invited people to name its last set of vehicles and they came up with some brilliant suggestions such as Rita the Rubbish Eater, Trucky, Binosaurus Rex and Recycling Ninjas of NE Lincs.

Visit https://name-that-bin-lorry.questionpro.eu to suggest a name before 5pm on Thursday 30 September.

Cllr Stewart Swinburn, portfolio holder for environment and transport, said:

“We had lots of fantastic suggestions last time we invited people to name our bin lorries, and we’re looking forward to seeing what people come up with this time.

“There are no prizes, it’s just for fun and the kudos of knowing you named a bin lorry.

“We’ve made some big changes to recycling collections in the last year and people in North East Lincolnshire are recycling more than ever. It’s one way we can all help the environment.

“Nine recycling vehicles need a name, so please be quick and submit your ideas before 5pm on Thursday 30 September.”
