North East Lincolnshire Council and its delivery partner, Equans, are planning to carry out carriageway pre-patching works across three different locations in the borough.

These works are essential to ensure the road surface is fully prepared for the annual carriageway surface treatment programme later this year.  These works are part of the Local Transport Fund.

Works programme as follows:

Brereton Avenue, Cleethorpes

Works on Brereton Avenue, between Lestrange Street and Clee Road, will start on Tuesday 30 May and will take two days to complete. A daytime road closure will be in place between 7.30am and 6pm. Bus stops within the working area will be suspended with bus routes diverted via Carr Lane, unfortunately Queen Mary Avenue will not be served within the closure times.

Grimsby Road, Waltham

Works on Grimsby Road, between High Street/Station Road roundabout and house number 133, will start on Thursday 1 June and will take two days to complete. A daytime road closure will be in place between 7.30am and 6pm. Bus stops within the working area will be suspended with bus routes diverted via Waltham Road and Louth Road.

Fairfield Road, Grimsby

Works on Fairfield Road, between Allestree Drive and Waltham Road, will start on Monday 5 June and will take two days to complete. A daytime road closure will be in place between 7.30am and 6pm. Bus stops within the working area will be suspended with bus routes diverted via Waltham Road and Springfield Road.

Footpath access will still be maintained as usual. On-street parking will be temporarily suspended during the works. Please do not park vehicles on the carriageway or footpath to ensure a safe working area can be maintained for the contractor.

Although every effort will be made to minimise disruption, some of the engineering work can be noisy. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience the works may cause and ensure that the work will be completed as quickly and as safely as possible.
