Representatives from North East Lincolnshire Council and Humberside Police joined industry leaders and fellow local authorities at The Midland Hotel in Manchester to celebrate a prestigious nomination at the 2025 National Social Work Awards.
The event recognised the Council’s pioneering digital transformation of its Integrated Front Door – a central safeguarding contact point – which earned a finalist spot in the ‘Technology Enabled Lives and Innovation in Practice’ category.
This recognition is another clear example of the continuous improvement across North East Lincolnshire Council’s Children’s Services. It follows recent positive Ofsted inspection outcomes, both in a full inspection and in the Council’s children’s homes, demonstrating a clear route to progress.
Ann-Marie Matson, Director of Children’s Services, said:
“Being shortlisted alongside national leaders in social work is a proud moment for our teams. It reflects our commitment to innovation and our determination to keep children, young people and their families at the heart of everything we do.”
Councillor Margaret Cracknell, Portfolio Holder for Children and Education, added:
“This nomination really does show how far we’ve come, to be recognised on a national stage for innovation is a really proud moment for the service. A huge congratulations to the teams from across children’s services, IT and our wider partners who have really highlighted what collaboration can do when done well.
We’re not only improving services, but we’re also leading the way.”
