Learning through Play

For children aged 0 to 5 years and their parents or carers.

Discover fun activities to support all areas of your child’s development, including personal social development and speech & language. It enables you and your child to interact together whilst learning new skills and having fun.

Stay & Play Rhyme Time

For children aged 1 to 5 years to come along with their parents or carers and have fun, and explore through creative activities and make believe.

Incorporates ‘Look, Say, Sing and Play’. Great fun to strengthen the bond with your child. It’s about taking a cue from them and reacting to what they’re doing.

Baby Rhyme Time

For babies aged 0 to 9 months and their parents or carers to learn songs to help develop the speech and social skills of your baby.

Find new ways to play with your baby through interaction, exploration and music. Build your relationship with your baby and learn new ways to bond, create an everlasting attachment which will supporting your baby’s brain development.

Drop in Support Group

If you’re feeling like you could do with some support of any kinds, weather it be about behaviour, routine or development of your child, come along and chat to us. You can also check your child’s weight and height measures, and a chance to discuss concerns with a Community Health Practitioner and Families First Practitioner.

Sensory rooms

Sensory rooms are available to book free of charge at each Family Hub – call to book a session.

Baby massage groups

Come along and meet new parents and enjoy quality bonding time with your baby (6 weeks+).

Baby massages are great for you and your baby! They promote a strong bond and secure attachment between you and your baby. They release feel good hormones in you and your baby, which in turn helps with your relaxations. Baby massage can help to soothe issues like colic, wind and teething discomfort.

PEEPs session with Midi Rhyme Time

This is a 12 week bookable session for parents to meet and share ideas for simple low-cost activities that support your child’s learning in everyday life. Encourages talking, singing, sharing books and playing together. It’s suitable for parents with children aged 9 to 18 months.

Worried about your child in any way? Pop in for an appointment to discuss and get some support.

Book a place to learn and understand the impact of your relationship with your child during the most important first few years of their lives.

Childminder’s Group

Sessions run for childminders, by childminders.

Antenatal Education class

Fortnightly education classes held at Central and Nunsthorpe & Bradley Park Family Hubs.
