School admission arrangements
North East Lincolnshire Council is responsible for the admission arrangements for the community and voluntary controlled primary schools.
The admission authorities for primary and secondary voluntary aided schools and academies are the governors or academy trust of the individual schools and academies. Some academies have their own admission policy however some academies follow the North East Lincolnshire Admission Policy for community schools.
Admission Arrangements must be set annually by 28th February and published by 15th March. Once all arrangements have been determined, arrangements can be objected to and referred to the School’s Adjudicator. Objections to admission arrangements must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15th May in the school year before those arrangements are to apply (the determination year).

Consultation on admission arrangements – Academic year 2028 to 2029
North East Lincolnshire Local Authority is the admission authority for North East Lincolnshire’s community and voluntary controlled primary schools. There are no community or voluntary controlled secondary schools in North East Lincolnshire. The admission authority for the remaining primary academies and all of the secondary academies are the governors of the respective academy.
Between the 1 October 2026 and 31 January 2027 all admission authorities have to consult for a period of 6 weeks on any changes to their proposed admission arrangements or any proposed decrease in their published admission number (PAN) for the academic year 2028-2029. Admission authorities do not have to consult on proposed increases to their PAN.
Admission Authorities must consult at least once every 7 years on their admission arrangements even if there have been no changes.
After the close of the consultation period, all of the admission authorities must take account of any responses received and determine their final admission arrangements by 28 February 2027.
North East Lincolnshire’s community and voluntary controlled primary schools
We are the admission authority for North East Lincolnshire’s community and voluntary controlled primary schools, listed below:

- Stallingborough CE VC Primary School
North East Lincolnshire Local Authority is not proposing to make any changes to the existing admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools, and those academies who follow this policy. We are, however, opening a period of statutory consultation to comply with the requirement to consult at least once every 7 years.

Public consultation on the above will run from Monday 12th October to Monday 23rd November. For those academies that have asked us to consult on their behalf, their proposed documentation will be attached below. Any comments regarding these proposed changes should be made directly to the respective academy or academy trust.
What next?
The School Admissions Code states that all school admission arrangements and policies must be determined by 28 February 2027 and published by 15 March 2027. Each policy will be published on this website as it is received by the School Admissions Team.
