Christmas at Grimsby Top Town Market

Christmas is right around the corner and so is the start of Grimsby Top Town Market’s extended festive opening.

The market offers a wide variety of gift ideas for all the family, including personalised and engraved presents, porcelain and china figurines, bath bombs and wax melts, books, electricals, slippers and clothing – so you can be sure to find something to suit even the most difficult to buy for. With greetings cards and gift wrap also available, you’ll have your present shopping tied up with a bow in no time.

You can also buy everything you need for your family’s festive feast, from your fish starter through to pudding – the market sells a huge variety of meat, seafood, fruit, vegetables and after-dinner treats.

The market hall will be open every day from 15 December until Christmas Eve:

  • Thursday 15 December to Friday 23 December – 9am to 4pm
  • Saturday 24 December – 8am to 3pm
  • Sunday 25 to Wednesday 28December – Closed
  • Thursday 29 to Saturday 31December – 9am to 4pm
  • Sunday 1 January – Closed
  • From Tuesday 3 January onwards – Open as usual

The market has also organised a series of fun, festive activities on the lead up to the big day:

Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December: Christmas pop-up market welcoming a variety of stalls including crochet, resin moulds, mugs and tops, Body Shop, fudge, art, toys, wax melts and crystals, handmade items, baby clothes, jewellery, cookies and brownies, hair bows and other personalised gifts.

Saturday 10 December: Christmas arts and crafts, including paper and textile Christmas decorations and Christmas masks. Santa will also be on the market to listen to your little ones’ Christmas wishes and hand out small presents between 11am and 1pm, completely free of charge.

Saturday 17 December: Carol singing (11am to 1pm) and Christmas arts and crafts which includes festive colouring, design a Christmas tree competition and creating Christmas masks (10am to 2pm).

Tuesday 20 December: Gingerbread themed arts and crafts including cardboard gingerbread houses, gingerbread colouring and painting and gingerbread cut outs to make your own Christmas decorations (10am to 2pm).
