General

Restoration works being undertaken at Corporation Road Bridge continue to progress well. The steel deck plates have been inspected and replacements plates have been ordered where needed. The remaining deck plates are currently being grit blasted.

Scaffold erection has already begun and to assist with the safe installation near to the footpath, a closure is required. The footpath on the bridge will be closed to all pedestrians and cyclists on Thursday 15 June between 9am and 4pm.

Further short duration closures will be needed as the work progresses and updates on this will be provided in due course. Temporary signs will be erected.

Following the installation of scaffolding, the next section of works will be to the substructure, which includes high pressure steaming and cleaning, grit blasting, steelwork repairs and repainting.

North East Lincolnshire Council, its delivery partner, Equans and contractor Spencer Group would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the work is being undertaken.
