Roads, parking and transport

Works to Grade II listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, have been progressing.

The control room refurbishment is ongoing and the installation of roof and wall panels along with the new glazing will soon commence. Application of the primer and paint coatings are progressing across spans 1-3. Primer painting has completed to the North truss (above deck) of span 4 and the final coat has been applied to the North trusses of spans 5 and 6 above deck.

To take advantage of anticipated low tide levels, weekend working is required. Footpath closures are required whilst works are taking place adjacent to public areas to ensure the safety of both the public and the contractor.

Footpath closures will take place between 9am and 4pm each weekday. The footway will remain open during the weekend working dates. Temporary signs will be in place for the footway closures.

North East Lincolnshire Council, its delivery partner, Equans and contractor Spencer Group would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the work is being undertaken. As Corporation Road Bridge is a construction site, it is important that the public respect the access restrictions in place, which have been introduced for safety reasons.  Members of the public are reminded to please stay outside of all encapsulated and other working areas for their own safety, as well as that of those working there.
