Trials will be carried out in the coming weeks to look at the reopening of Family Hubs in our area.

Two Family Hubs in North East Lincolnshire will be part of a two-day trial to see how well staff and families visiting the Hubs can manage with COVID-19 restrictions in place.

If the trial goes well, the two Hubs will look to open five days a week for appointments only. The Hubs will remain closed to walk-in visits.

Councillor Ian Lindley, portfolio holder for children, education and young people, said: “I know that our Family Hubs are a lifeline to many families in our community and I know they will be overjoyed to see the Hubs start to consider reopening.

“Provided that these trials go well, we will look to start to open more of the Hubs in our area on a case by case basis. To help staff to manage the people on site, we will be turning away anyone without an appointment.

“If you do need to come in for an appointment, our staff will be contacting you to arrange this.”
