COVID-19: Public transport update

In response to the national lockdown, please see the latest public transport changes in North East Lincolnshire. This is subject to change.

Stagecoach Grimsby Cleethorpes  

Stagecoach has informed North East Lincolnshire Council that a number of their services will be reduced from today, Monday 25 January.

Bus ServiceChanges from Monday 25 January
Service 3 Cleethorpes Pier – MorrisonsReduced frequency from every 10 minutes to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, and Sunday service frequency reduced from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes.
Service 4 Cleethorpes Pier – MorrisonsReduced frequency from every 10 minutes to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, and Sunday service frequency reduced from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes.
Service 5 Grimsby Town Centre – ImminghamReduced frequency from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes Monday to Saturday, no changes on Sundays.    
Service 6 Grimsby Town Centre – Wybers WoodReduced frequency from every 15 minutes to every 60 minutes Monday to Saturday, no changes on Sundays.

Train service changes  

Following a request from the Department for Transport for all train companies to align their timetables with current passenger demand during this lockdown period, train operating companies will be introducing revised timetables from today, Monday 25 January:

Train ServiceChanges from Monday 25 January
Cleethorpes to Manchester (TransPennine Express)Reduced from hourly to every two hours.
Cleethorpes to Barton Upon Humber (Northern Rail/ East Midlands Trains)Train service withdrawn and a bus replacement service to be provided at commuter times.
Grimsby to Lincoln (East Midlands Trains)East Midlands Trains will be running a reduce service on this route. Details are available on East Midlands Trains website.

These short-term changes are temporary and will be subject to regular review based on numbers travelling.
