THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) NEW HAVEN TERRACE, GRIMSBY

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-133E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2022

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle or other vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

NEW HAVEN TERRACE, GRIMSBY – Part length, from its junction with PYEWIPE ROAD to its junction with SANDFORD STREET.

Alternative route: PYEWIPE ROAD, ELSENHAM ROAD, STORTFORD STREET, GILBEY ROAD, SANDFORD STREET

This emergency prohibition is required in order to enable Cadent Gas to undertake works to trace, excavate and repair a gas escape and then reinstate.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Tuesday, 20 September 2022 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, 23 September 2022.
