THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) ALEXANDRA ROAD, GRIMSBY

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-140E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2022

WHERAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

ALEXANDRA ROAD, GRIMSBY – Part Length, from its junction with GARTH LANE to its junction with TENNYSON STREET.

Alternative route: CORPORATION ROAD, A16 VICTORIA STREET SOUTH, A1136

FREDERICK WARD WAY (reverse route applies)

This emergency prohibition is required to enable BT Openreach to access an underground structure in order to effect a repair of telecommunications cabling and service to its customers.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Sunday, 02 October 2022 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Sunday, 02 October 2022.
