ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2)

A1173, STALLINGBOROUGH

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-152E)

EMERGENCY NOTICE 2022

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

A1173, STALLINGBOROUGH – Part Length, from the STALLINGBOROUGH INTERCHANGE with A180 to its junction with KILN LANE / A1173 (northbound to Immingham).

Alternative route : A180, A160, A160 HUMBER ROAD, A1173 MANBY ROAD, A1173, A1173 KINGS ROAD, A1173 (reverse route applies)

This emergency prohibition is required to enable Gallows Wood to safely recover an overturned vehicle from the verge adjacent to the carriageway.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Saturday, 22 October 2022 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Saturday, 22 October 2022.
