THE NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) OLD MARKET PLACE, GRIMSBY

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-159E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2022

WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:

OLD MARKET PLACE – Part Length, from its junction with BETHLEHEM STREET to a point adjacent to WALTERS PUBLIC HOUSE.

Alternative route: Not applicable

This emergency prohibition is required to enable North East Lincolnshire Council to repair a damaged rising bollard which provides access for authorised vehicles to the GRIMSBY TOWN PEDESTRIANISED ZONE, via OLD MARKET PLACE.

Access for pedestrians will be maintained.

The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.

The Notice shall come into operation on Friday, 11 November 2022 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Saturday, 19 November 2022.

This Notice is executed by North East Lincolnshire Borough Council.
