ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2) HIGH THORPE CRESCENT, CLEETHORPES (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRN 22-198E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2023
WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:
- HIGH THORPE CRESCENT – Part length, from its eastern junction with MIDDLE THORPE ROAD to a point 20m south-west of its eastern junction with MIDDLE THORPE ROAD.
Alternative route: HIGH THORPE CRESCENT, MIDDLE THORPE ROAD (reverse route applies)
This emergency prohibition is required to enable Anglian Water to safely undertake works on a water main through the repair / replacement of a sluice valve.
Access for emergency vehicles and refuse collections will be maintained.
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The Notice shall come into operation on Monday, 6 March 2023 and shall continue for a period of 21 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Friday, 10 March 2023.
