ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(2)
DOUGHTY CENTRE ACCESS ROAD, TOWN HALL SQUARE, GRIMSBY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – TTRO 24-067E) EMERGENCY NOTICE 2024
WHEREAS the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”), in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 hereby make the following Emergency Notice the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any motor vehicle from PROCEEDING along the below sections of highway:
- TOWN HALL SQUARE (IN PART) – the access road to the Doughty Centre from the junction of TOWN HALL STREET for the full extent.
This emergency prohibition is required on the grounds of protecting the safety of the public whilst plant
machinery is operating in the area.
The Interpretation Act 1978 shall apply in the interpretation of the Notice as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
The Notice shall come into operation on Friday, 07 June 2024 and shall continue for a period of 7 days unless extended by Order of the Secretary of State for Transport. The closure is expected to remain in place until Wednesday 12 June 2024.
