Essential carriageway patching and road marking planned this month

Carriageway patching and road marking works are planned for the following streets:

  • Woad Lane between Estate Road 5 and Estate Road 1
  • Gilbey Road between Pyewipe Roundabout and Athena Drive
  • Estate Road 1 between Woad Lane and Scania Grimsby Entrance
  • Estate Road 2 between Estate Road 5 and Estate Road 6
  • Estate Road 3
  • Estate Road 4
  • Estate Road 5 between Woad Lane and Estate Road 2

Works will start on Tuesday 15 April and will be completed on Friday 24 April. Please be aware that these works are weather dependant and are subject to change.

To allow the works to be completed and to ensure the safety of the contractor, a night time road closure will be in place between 19:00pm and 4:00am. Footpath access will be maintained at all times.

Road closures in place are as follows:

Tuesday 15 April 2025 for 1 night between 19:00pm and 4:00am

  • Estate Road 1 between Woad Lane and the Scania Grimsby entrance
  • Estate Road 3
  • Estate Road 4

Wednesday 16 April 2025 for 1 night between 19:00pm and 4:00am

Estate Road 2 between Estate Road 5 and Estate Road 6

Thursday 17 April 2025 for 1 night between 19:00pm and 4:00am

Estate Road 5 between Woad Lane and Estate Road 2

Tuesday 22 April 2025 for 1 night between 19:00pm and 4:00am

Woad Lane between Estate Road 5 and Estate Road 1

Wednesday 23 April 2025 for 1 night between 19:00pm and 4:00am

Gilbey Road between Pyewipe Roundabout and Athena Drive

During the works, on street parking will be suspended within the closure extents, and no vehicle access will be permitted. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the works.

The council, Equans and contractor EC Surfacing Ltd would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience and assure that the work will be completed as quickly and safely as possible.
