After an exciting week of A-Level Results, secondary school students are this week preparing to receive their GCSE results.
GCSE results day is on Thursday 22 August.
Many students will be planning to go on to college, sixth form or apprenticeships.
Speaking ahead of results day, Councillor Margaret Cracknell, portfolio holder for children, young people and education, wished students well with their grades.
“It’s always an exciting time for students, but can also be an anxious time as they prepare to discover how they did in their exams.
“I want to take this opportunity to really reassure our young people that there are options out there for everyone, and there is lots of support available as they decide what to do next.
“We want to make sure that all of our young people are able to chase their dreams, and I would ask parents to sit down with their children ahead of results day to make sure that they know about the support available.
“Finally, from all of us at North East Lincolnshire Council, I want to wish all those receiving their results this week the very best of luck.”
