For the first time ever, North East Lincolnshire residents will be able to view their council tax bills online.

Council tax bills for 2022-23 will be available to view online next year.

Councillor Stan Shreeve, deputy leader of North East Lincolnshire Council and portfolio holder for finance and resources, said: “This is a convenient way of our residents keeping on top of their bills, being able to access them at any time and keep records without having piles of paperwork.

“It’s quick, easy and secure to opt-in, and I’m pleased to say that this service will be launching later this year for people to sign up.

“In the meantime, residents who wish to find out more can complete a form on our website, and we’ll get in touch with them when we have more information.

“We’re making it much easier and more convenient for people to pay their council tax, but we’re also aware that after the year we’ve all had, some may find themselves in a difficult situation – perhaps unable to pay their bills. If there are residents out there who are struggling, I would urge them to get in touch with us so we can consider what support is available.”

All of your information is secure and Residents will receive a leaflet in their next council tax bill explaining how they can register their interest in e-billing.

Signing up to view your bill online will be quick, safe and secure, and means that you will be able to view your bill as soon as it is available. It also means all your bills are safely stored in one place.

Residents who still require a paper version will be able to download and print the bills at home.

There’s support in place to help anyone who faces difficulty in paying their council tax bills. To find out more about what support is on offer, visit www.nelincs.gov.uk or call the council tax and benefits team on 0300 3030164.
