North East Lincolnshire Council would like to speak to parents and carers about mental health during and after pregnancy, parent and baby bonding, and infant feeding.
As part of the Start for Life programme, North East Lincolnshire council have been commissioned to offer new services and would like to gather information around the 3 topics mentioned. The aim is to better understand how parents and carers deal with and feel about important perinatal topics. There will be in person focus groups and online surveys to gather information and to allow parents and carers to have their say and to enable new services to be built around the needs of the local community.
The informal groups will take place across November and December at various Family Hubs in the borough and organisers hope to encourage people to share their own experiences either in person or via an online survey.
Portfolio holder for Children and Education at North East Lincolnshire Council, Councillor Margaret Cracknell, said: “As we develop the Start for Life offer across our Family Hubs it is important to hear from local parent’s and carers to ensure that we are delivering what they need.
Everyone’s experiences around perinatal health will be different, and we are keen to hear from as many voices as possible across the local community.”
