For the last few years, we’ve been celebrating our borough’s main towns with our Love Your Towns events and we’re pleased to say they are taking place again this year!

Promising a blend of cultural celebrations, love themed community activities and free family-friendly fun, our events will take place in Immingham, Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

Save these dates to your calendars and get ready for some fun!

  • Love Immingham – Saturday 14 February
  • Love Grimsby – Saturday 21 March
  • Love Cleethorpes – Saturday 28 March

Over the last few years, the events have included markets, walking trails, community activities in the town centres, with thousands of visitors enjoying the free events and activities.

They’re a chance to get out and about with your family, appreciate what we have around us and of course, visit and support our local businesses.

The Love Immingham event takes place first and is being organised by Immingham Town Council.

Lucy Waller, Town Clerk, said: “Immingham Town Council is delighted to be working alongside North East Lincolnshire Council to deliver the Love Immingham event on Valentine’s Day. The day will celebrate the pride and affection residents have for their town, with a range of exciting activities being planned. We are especially grateful to ABP for their support in providing special tours throughout the day, and we look forward to sharing more details with the community as Valentine’s Day approaches.”

In March, the Love Grimsby and Love Cleethorpes events will take place and are being organised by Checkmate Productions who are starting to call for artists and activity providers.

Lizzie Atkin, Director of Checkmate Productions said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be producing Love Your Town Grimsby and Love Your Town Cleethorpes. Both towns are incredibly special to us, not just as places, but as communities full of creativity, pride, and warmth. The aims of these events, celebrating local people, encouraging kindness, and reconnecting residents with their town centres are deeply aligned with our own ethos of creating joyful, inclusive cultural experiences rooted in community. We can’t wait to bring these celebrations to life alongside local artists, businesses, and residents”

Cllr Hayden Dawkins, Cabinet member for tourism, said: “The events have grown year on year, and I’m really pleased to see these back again. They’re a great way of not only celebrating our towns, but also getting out and about and doing something different.”

The Love Your Town events are funded by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.
