The Home Energy Service will be joining organisations from across the area on Wednesday 6 October to offer information, advice, and guidance to older residents in the borough.

The event will include support on health care, benefits, pensions, mobility, carers support, hobbies, and housing, including our Home Energy team who will be on hand to raise awareness of the funding for energy efficiency improvements available and to answer any home energy queries.

Councillor Callum Procter, portfolio holder for housing at North East Lincolnshire Council, said: “I would encourage our elderly residents to make the most of this upcoming event and see what support is available. Our dedicated Home Energy team will also be on hand to support residents in getting prepared for the colder months ahead.

“Currently, the team are looking to identify those residents who are without central heating and reliant on a gas/coal fire or electric heater as they may be eligible for fully funded first time central heating installation.

“If you are unable to attend the event, you can find out more about the range of support available by visiting www.L4WH.co.uk, call (01472) 326434 or email [email protected]

The Older People’s Advice Day will take place on Wednesday 6 October, 10am to 3pm, at the Memorial Hall, Cleethorpes, and is co-ordinated by the Advice Day Volunteers each year.
