KindMind is a free service providing practical support and accredited training for parents, carers and professionals supporting neurodiverse individuals across North East Lincolnshire.

The service offers:

  • Helpline, email and online chat support
  • Clear advice and signposting
  • Practical, real-world guidance

KindMind also provides training for teachers and education professionals on topics including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), early years SEND and general neurodiversity awareness.

One participant said: “The autism training was very informative and practical.

“It helped me better understand the characteristics of autism and how to support individuals effectively.

“I particularly found the communication strategies and behaviour support techniques useful. I feel more confident in applying this knowledge in my role.”

Jennifer Steel, Service Director for Education, Inclusion and Integration at North East Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is a great opportunity for everyone involved in the SEND community.

“KindMind offers educational support and advocacy for individuals and families, alongside wellbeing and resilience workshops.

“There is also a range of training available for teachers, including neurodiverse learning strategies, inclusive classroom planning and targeted support programmes for children and young people with dyslexia and dyspraxia.

“Whether you are a parent, carer, young person or professional, KindMind offers a wealth of practical support that can make a real difference to everyday life.”
