General

One of the remaining finishing touches to the major improvement works at Toll Bar roundabout, funded by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, will be undertaken towards the end of February.

Reinstatement of the landscaping around the roundabout will take place starting in the week beginning 21 Feb 2022. During this time, the hedgerows will be replaced, new trees will be planted and wildflower seeds will be sown. All the work is completely off the carriageway, so there should be no impact on traffic in the area.

The final element – laying of the new anti-skid surface will be carried out overnight in the next few months subject to weather conditions, with localised traffic management in place. Once the surfacing works at Toll Bar have been completed, the team will move on to the A18 project to complete similar works. These works will be advertised closer to the time.

Cabinet member for transport and the environment, Cllr Stewart Swinburn, explained: “It will be good to get the works at Toll Bar completed. It has been a major project for the borough, and I’d like to thank everyone for their patience during the extensive, and protracted, works.”
