People’s Park café and toilets will be opening under new management in the coming weeks
We are proposing to change the opening and closing times of the toilets, so they are in line with the opening hours of the café. This has worked well at other sites including Weelsby Woods and Haverstoe Park.
The current opening and closing times are:
Winter (October to Easter) – Open at 9am and close at 4pm.
Summer (Easter to end of September) – Open from between 7am and 8am and close from 7pm and 8pm.
The proposed opening and closing times will be:
Winter (October to Easter) – Open at 10am and close at 3pm.
Summer (Easter to end of September) – Open at 10am and close at 6pm.

Charge for public toilets
There is a 20p charge to use the following toilets:
- Grimsby, Market Hall (Contactless only)
Prepaid cards
Prepaid toilet access cards allow you to use the facilities that are contactless payment only.
To buy a prepaid card complete the Prepaid toilet access card form.
When you have paid for your card you can collect it from the Cleethorpes Library (DN35 8LQ). The costs of the cards are:
- £20 for a 100 use card (ideal for large parties)
- £5 for a 25 use card
Cleethorpes Library opening times are:
- Monday to Thursday – 8.30am to 5.30pm
- Friday – Closed
- Saturday – 9am to 1pm
- Sunday – Closed

Who looks after the toilets?
Our public toilets are managed by Danfo (UK) Ltd (Sea Road, St Peters Avenue, Kingsway and Boating Lake in Cleethorpes and Market Hall and Peoples Park in Grimsby).
Danfo are industry experts with experience of managing award-winning public conveniences across the UK.
The toilets at Weelsby Woods and Immingham Civic Centre are looked after by the Café operator and Immingham Town Council respectively.
