New trails have been launched around North East Lincolnshire towns as part of the Council’s drive to get families out and about during the winter months.

The Love Exploring app, launched last year in North East Lincolnshire, has a new game, specially created for the winter break that features augmented reality dancing fairies and you can find them, if you really believe you can, in many of our parks.

Use the map to find the dancing fairies and then answer fun questions about them and winter!

The winter fairy game is available from Friday 14 January and can be found along Cleethorpes seafront, People’s Park, Weelsby Woods, and Grant Thorald Park in Grimsby, and Roval Drive Park in Immingham.

Other trails in our parks and open spaces are also still available on the app – including the Dinosaur Safari and the Space Walk.

All that’s needed is a smartphone that can download the Love Exploring app. The app is free to download to Apple and Android phones, but a word of warning – the system uses Augmented Reality and so unfortunately it won’t work on all mobile phones.

Check out your App Store for details by searching for the Love Exploring app on Google’s Play store or the Apple App Store and then check out the compatibility guide.
