Jobs, training and volunteering

People who face barriers to finding or staying in work can now access free support through a new programme.

Connect to Work provides one-to-one support to help people find a job that suits their skills, interests and personal circumstances.

The programme is available for people facing challenges that make work harder to access or maintain, including:

  • People with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • People with physical or mental disabilities or long-term health conditions.
  • Unpaid carers and people with caring responsibilities.
  • Care-experienced people and care leavers.
  • People with experience of the criminal justice system.
  • People who are homeless or have experienced homelessness.
  • Refugees, resettled Afghans and people on the Ukrainian scheme who have the right to work in the UK.
  • Veterans, reservists and partners of current or former Armed Forces personnel.
  • People facing significant barriers to employment because of drug or alcohol dependency.
  • Victims and survivors of domestic abuse.
  • Young people involved in, or at risk of involvement in, serious violence.
  • Victims of modern slavery.

Everyone taking part is matched with a dedicated Employment Specialist who provides personalised support throughout their employment journey. Support continues after someone starts work, helping them settle into their role and remain in employment for the long-term.

Anyone who is eligible can access Connect to Work for free. You do not need to be claiming benefits, and people who receive Universal Credit can take part without it affecting their claim.

The programme is delivered by Lincolnshire County Council through funding from the UK Government, with local delivery partners Centre4, Navigo and Standguide providing support across North East Lincolnshire.

If you think the programme could help you, or someone you support, you can take the first step by completing the online form: https://lincolnshirectwapi.evolutive.co.uk/form/anonymousform/6aa90c1719779a3f302a4924?&redirecturl=.
