General

A new app for booking a journey with the on-demand bus service Phone ‘n’ Ride has launched and you can download it today.

What’s new?

  • Track your vehicle’s route
  • Bookings can be made 24/7, up to one hour in advance
  • 20-minute pick-up window
  • Pre-pay your journeys in advance

The app is compatible with iOS and Android and makes use of all major accessibility features, such as voiceover, switch control, and adaptive font size. Profiles can be created to include specific information about access and support requirements too.

The Phone ‘n’ Ride app will be replacing the current website booking system. However, you will still be able to make bookings over the phone by calling (01472) 324440.

Lesley Jamieson, transport officer at Equans, said: “I’m delighted that a new app has been developed for Phone ‘n’ Ride. I’ve been working on Phone ‘n’ Ride for 16 years now and this has been by far one of the most exciting projects. The new app will make booking and paying for journeys much more convenient for people.”

If you experience any problems using the new app, please email the team at [email protected]. The booking office phone line opening times are Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5pm.
