North East Lincolnshire’s Mayoral nominations announced

This year’s Mayor Making ceremony will take place on the 19th May at Grimsby Town Hall.

The roles of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the borough are ceremonial positions undertaken by an elected Councillor, nominated by his or her peers. The position has a term of one year.

East Marsh Ward, Councillor Steve Beasant, who has carried out the role of Deputy Mayor for 2021/22, will be nominated to succeed current Mayor, Cllr David Hasthorpe.

For the role of Deputy Mayor of North East Lincolnshire for the term 2022/23, Scartho Ward Councillor Ian Lindley will be nominated.
