Paying a fixed penalty notice (fine)
Pay a Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) online.
Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) and Civil Penalty Notices are given for things like dropping litter, not cleaning up after your dog, fly-tipping, anti-social behaviour, and causing a nuisance to the environment.
Before you start
Depending on the fine, you will either pay us on North East Lincolnshire Council’s website or on Doncaster City Council’s website. The easiest way to check is by looking at your penalty reference number on the top right of your letter.
Does your reference start with DN?
You will also need on hand:
- your address and postcode
- the penalty reference number on the fine
- your payment details
If you have been issued with a parking ticket (PCN or penalty charge notice), you can find information on making a payment on our you must pay it on our parking fines page.
Doncaster Fixed Penalty Notices
If your reference number starts with DN, you must pay this on Doncaster Council’s payment portal (e.g. DN12345678).
Dog fouling or littering fixed penalty notice
You will be taken to Doncaster Council’s website to pay or challenge your fine.
North East Lincolnshire Fixed Penalty Notice
If your reference number starts does not start with DN, you must pay this on North East Lincolnshire Council’s payment portal (e.g. HD12345678).
