Highway design guides

The local authority is responsible for promoting new developments in North East Lincolnshire. To assist developers, builders, architects, designers, contractors and other relevant parties, a series of technical documents and notes have been produced.

The Highway Design Guide provides the most up-to-date guidance for the design of highways and associated infrastructure within North East Lincolnshire.

The Highway Construction Guide is currently being developed and is expected to be available on this website by the end of 2026. In the meantime, a shortened version of the Construction Guide (S38/278 Process) is available below, providing key information and guidance to assist with the construction of highway works.
