Wind energy supplementary planning documents

The Council identified the need to provide additional detail in relation to the development of sites for wind energy use.

The purpose of the wind energy supplementary planning document is to assist developers, members of the public, councillors and officers with the interpretation and application of Policy 31, paragraph 4 of the adopted Local Plan.

Following a period of public consultation, which ran from 6 March to 18 April 2019, Cabinet committee (5 June 2019) approved the adoption of the Wind Energy Supplementary Planning Document (PDF, 2MB) .
